Paul Nobrega

Paul took an atypical road to an acting career. After college, he worked at an aerospace firm on advanced research projects. Having caught the acting bug a few years earlier, he decided to quit his job and go for it. Coming from a family of doctors, he soon found a niche playing doctors on television.

He played a cardiologist opposite JK Simmons on ABC's Family Tools, an OB/Gyn to Gina Rodriquez's Jane, on Jane The Virgin, a prison doctor on Criminal Minds, and several others, all "without having to suffer through medical school." Other roles include, Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson in the Lifetime movie Faith and Forgiveness, and Gouverneur Morris in a 5-part Netflix series, set in 1776. "I really enjoyed those projects," he says, "but I’d prefer not to wear a wig or a fake beard for a while."

Paul has also done Broadway National Tours, TV commercials, and Voice-over work.
