Jonah McD (Jonah McDonald) spent the first part of his childhood in Church Hill, Maryland and later moved to Central Pennsylvania, where he got his start as an actor in local theater. After winning first place globally as an actor for Scenebot, he was discovered by his talent manager, Cheryl Martin (CMA Entertainment). This led him to representation from talent agent David Gilbert (Zuri Agency). In December of 2022, he was cast in his first TV co-star role, Teenage Joe Reagan on "Blue Bloods" (CBS) with Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg and Bridget Moynahan. Not long after his episode aired, he was cast in an Anti-Vaping commercial with the FDA, as well as a series of social media ads for Jurna, a mental health app for kids and teens. In 2024 he played Bennie in "Mother Nature and the Doomsday Prepper" (Litewave Media and Angry Elf Entertainment), which was released in 2025. Also in 2025, he played the lead character in a Spectrum Wifi commercial, and played the role of Toby in "The Chair Company" (HBO) with Tim Robinson, Sophia Lillis and Lou Diamond Phillips. Before 2025 was over, he also played another humorous role in NBC's "The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins," which stars Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe.

In addition to acting, Jonah is a singer and writer. Musical theater is one of his favorite hobbies, but when he's not performing, he writes novels, short stories, and songs. On YouTube, he creates short comedic skits (Jonah McD on YouTube). He now attends Elizabethtown College as a psychology major alongside his acting career.

Community service is extremely important to Jonah. In 2022, he founded the now annual Lifepath Benefit Concert, raising money and awareness for the Lifepath Homeless Shelters in York, Pennsylvania. In 2025, he created the Echos Benefit Concert, which did the same for the Echos shelters in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. He is eager to participate in any volunteer work that he can.
