Born and raised in the Boston area, his background is rooted in the "dingy black-box" theaters of Boylston Street and a youth spent in a mechanical, itinerant environment. Before his career in the arts, he worked as a procedures clerk for the Probate Court-a role he began under the legal age-providing him with a deep, firsthand understanding of procedural and bureaucratic environments.

Off-screen, Jason is a highly proficient driver with extensive automotive experience and a deep passion for history and the sciences.

A disciplined process actor, he has continued his training in New York City with respected teachers including Terry Schreiber, Julie Garfield, and Alice Spivak.
