Danny Gold is an award-winning filmmaker whose work explores the lives, creativity, and cultural impact of extraordinary artists, entertainers, and public figures. As founder of Gold Entertainment Media Group (GEMG), Gold has developed, produced, directed, and written projects across film, television, live events, and theater. His directing credits include the acclaimed PBS American Masters documentary Blake Edwards: A Love Story in 24 Frames, the HBO documentaries If You're Not in the Obit, Eat Breakfast, The Bronx, USA, and The Super Bob Einstein Movie, as well as the award-winning music documentary Killing Me Softly With His Songs and the feature documentary 100 Voices: A Journey Home. For more than three decades, Gold has created projects for many of the entertainment industry's leading networks, studios, and distributors, including HBO, PBS, MGM, Disney, Warner Bros., Sony, DreamWorks, MTV, ABC Family, and The History Channel. He also served as Executive Producer of the successful Agent Cody Banks film franchise for MGM. Known for uncovering untold stories and bringing audiences behind the curtain of creative achievement, Gold's films combine intimate character-driven storytelling, rare archival discoveries, and cinematic scope. Whether chronicling legendary comedians, iconic filmmakers, groundbreaking musicians, or overlooked figures whose contributions helped shape popular culture, his work is driven by a fascination with the human stories behind greatness. Gold is a member of the Directors Guild of America (DGA), Producers Guild of America (PGA), and the Television Academy (ATAS).
